Radios in the Park – June 8th & 29th, July 20th, August 10th & 31st

SARA’s Radios in the Park returns this summer. This popular operating event is planned for 5 Thursday evenings through June, July, and August, weather permitting. This is an excellent opportunity to all hams to bring out your portable gear, set it up in the park, and get on the air. It is also an excellent way to share your experience, tips, tricks, trials, and tribulations of operating portable. Don’t have a portable set-up? Not to worry, come on out anyways and see what it takes to put a portable station together. You have chances to see wire antennas, Buddisticks, Buddipoles, HamStick Dipoles, battery and solar power solutions, transportation solutions, and we’ll even provide a chance for you to get on the air!

The dates are June 8, June 29, July 20, August 10 and August 31. We’ll be at Valley View Park at 5575 Ozark Ave N in Oak Park Heights. The entrance to the park is on Osgood Ave just north of the MN Correctional Facility, about 1/2 mile south of MN Highway 36.  We will be at the park from around 5:30 pm until 8:00 PM.
