MN POTA Day

Minnesota Parks on the Air Day

The first annual MN Parks On The Air Day is coming June 8, 2024! The operating window will be 10:00 AM (15:00 UTC) to 6:00 PM (23:00 UTC).

The Stillwater Amateur Radio Association announced the MN POTA Day at the 2023 MN ARRL State Convention on October 14th.

The objective of the day is to activate as many Minnesota POTA entities as we can, with a focus on State Parks. The 2nd Saturday in June is a free admission day at Minnesota State Parks.

This is an operating event, no logs will be collected. What’s is most important is getting out there and getting on the air, while enjoying all the beauty of Minnesota’s public lands. We also encourage sharing the fun and excitement of POTA with fellow hams who wish to learn about POTA.

Sponsored by the Stillwater Amateur Radio Association, it is our intent to create an statewide POTA event similar to the many such events occurring in many US states. We hope to develop a listing detailing who, when, and where activators will be operating the day of the event. Watch this website for more details!
