2022 SARA Member Dues Reminder

Membership in the Stillwater Amateur Radio Association runs from Jan 1 – Dec 31. You may renew or extend your membership at any time.

Annual Dues are $20/year for a regular membership, and $10/year for associate membership. Family memberships begin at $30 for two family members and $10 for each additional family member.

There are 3 ways to pay your dues, in person at a SARA meeting, via postal mail to the club address, or online via PayPal (there is a small surcharge to cover transaction costs). You can begin the membership renewal process here: radioham.org/sara-membership-application-renewal-page/. Please select your renewal option to be directed to the proper form. If you are a current member and have a new callsign, have moved, change an email address or phone number, please “update” option. Once you have completed and submitted the form, you will go to a page with the payment options. If you choose to mail your dues, the club’s mailing address is provided.

SARA White Elephant Exchange Party (SWEEP)

Don’t miss the ever-popular, always fun SWEEP!
There are plenty of laughs and lots of surprises.
As if you need a reason to participate, consider these benefits:
1. Clean your shack of something(s) you no longer need or want!
2. Go home with something more useful/desirable than you started with!
3. Have FUN with guaranteed SURPRISES!
(TMI Alert: As one SARA member said, “I laughed so hard, I almost wet my pants!”)

Each participant should bring at least one wrapped “White Elephant” gift to exchange. (The more you bring; the more you can leave with. You can bring up to 4 gifts.) This should be something related to Amateur Radio, in a broad sense, that’s maybe collecting dust in your Shack. It may be something you no longer use/need; and that someone else could use.

Nomination of Officers for 2022

As stated in our by-laws, nominations for the officers are held at the December meeting and elections held at the January meeting of SARA. The positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer are elected annually. Directors serve 2 year terms, with one director position elected each year. The director term up for election this year will run through 2023. The current slate of officers: President Joe KCØOIO, Vice President Bob WØGAF, Secretary Dave N9JNQ, and Treasurer Rich ADØSN have all expressed their willingness to continue. Director Doug N9TOW is not seeking another term, however at least one candidate has been identified.

Ice Station WØJH 2022 – Save the Dates!

Ice Station WØJH is planned to return to the shores of Lake Elmo the Presidents Day weekend  February 19, 20, and 21, 2022. More to come, closer to the Special Event Station weekend.
