Celebrating 25 years!
The Stillwater Amateur Radio Association will be celebrating our 25th anniversary in 2017! Several area amateur radio operators, among them were Jim W0WTP; Joe W0TBC(SK); Shel N0DRX; Mary N0DXH; and Mike WA0KKE; decided to form an amateur radio club for Stillwater area HAMs. They started gathering in 1991 and formed the nucleus of what became the Stillwater Amateur Radio Association in 1992. Many thanks to the founding members of SARA! I wonder if they had any idea what they were starting, one of the leading Amateur Radio Clubs in Minnesota and west-central Wisconsin!
Watch for 25th anniversary commemorative events throughout the year, starting with our 4th Annual Ice Station W0JH from frozen Lake Elmo February 18 to 20.
