There was a question about whether the club website met the new Google mobile optimizing criteria. It does not. It would be too expensive to do for the reward that would be derived.
Repeater:
Shel NØDRX attended the Repeater Council Spring Meeting on Saturday April 11th in Mankato. The council has 61 members, of those 25 were present. There were three agenda items: Approve new members, update coordinators tool kit, and Repeater Transfer Request for Chisago County ARES.
Unfinished Business:
Coffee Mug with club logo – Keith AGØH checked locally and found that ordering coffee mugs online at discountmugs.com is probably the best deal for now. Cost is $4.50@ for 36 or $3.23@ for 72. The club could offer the mugs to the membership for $3@. The design will be refined and we will ask at the next general meeting how many people would want to buy one.
Refreshments for Mobile Show-N-Tell – Coffee: a large container of Caribou Coffee. Donuts: a package of assorted types. Soda: assorted flavors.
Library Meeting Room – Although the Stillwater Library room is booked for May thru July, three dates are not available – May 28th, June 4th, and July 23rd. We will play it by ear for those nights and may decide at the last minute where to go.
New Business:
John N5JLZ has continued to research the idea of an oval decal with the club logo in the center. The logo would have to be darkened and the type needs to be bolder for it to be visible. An interior decal is preferable due to potential weathering deterioration. John will rework the logo and get back to the board.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:14 PM.
